FLIP doesn't collect any data. There's no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. The app doesn't send your audio, projects or usage anywhere.

What stays on your phone

Your recordings, projects, exports and settings are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. Deleting the app deletes them unless you've exported them yourself.

Microphone, Photos and local network

FLIP asks for the microphone so you can record sounds onto pads, and for Photos so it can read videos you choose to sample and save videos you make. Ableton Link and network MIDI use your local Wi-Fi network to talk to other music apps nearby. None of it leaves your device except when you share something yourself.

Remix links

When you share a remix link, the beat (kit settings and patterns) is encoded inside the link itself. Opening a link on this website decodes it in your browser; the site doesn't store it or log it. Recordings you made yourself are never put in links.

Purchases

FLIP Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details.
