Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the FlipDeck app and the flipdeck.app website. By using them you agree to these terms. If you get FlipDeck from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if the two ever conflict, Apple's agreement wins for the app.

Your music is yours

Everything you record, sample, program or export with FlipDeck belongs to you. We don't claim any rights to it, and it stays on your device unless you share it. You may use your beats, stems and videos anywhere, including commercially.

The built-in sounds

The kits, synth presets and Flip of the Day sounds are generated by the app. You can use them royalty-free in music you make, including commercial releases. You can't resell or redistribute them on their own as a sample pack.

Sampling other people's audio

FlipDeck lets you record and import any sound. You're responsible for having the rights to what you sample, publish or share. Using someone else's music, videos or recordings may need their permission.

FlipDeck Pro

FlipDeck Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the features listed in the app. Apple processes the payment, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Use "Restore purchases" in the app to unlock Pro on your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account. Family Sharing is supported.

Remix links

A remix link contains the beat's settings and patterns, not your recordings. Anyone you send a link to can open, change and share the beat. Only share links you're happy to have shared further.

Fair use of the app

Don't use FlipDeck or its links to break the law, infringe others' rights, or distribute harmful content, and don't try to disrupt the website or reverse-engineer the service beyond what the law allows.

No warranty

FlipDeck is provided "as is". We work hard to keep your projects safe (autosave keeps a backup copy), but please export anything important. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost work, lost profits or indirect damages arising from using the app or website. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. The current version is always on this page with its date. Continuing to use FlipDeck after a change means you accept the updated terms.
